Internet security experts say your password should be a secret, but it can be hard to come up with a good one!

Here are 11 good (and bad!) secrets you can use for your password:

  1. Many people believe the government has been secretly using area 51 to study extraterrestrial life, but nobody knows for sure, so it’s a very strong password.

  2. Doctors have to keep everything their patients tell them confidential, which is a fancy word for secret, so that’s also a very strong password.

  3. My friend Chad always keeps his grades a secret from his parents, and he’s really good at it, so that’s a good password as long as you trust Chad.

  4. For a long time Jay-Z and Beyoncé dated in secret. This could have been an okay password back then, but it no longer is good.

  5. People who try to hack into your accounts want to do it secretly. Make them your password because they'd never guess it.

  6. One time Chad told Mrs. Johnson that I said she’s a bad teacher, which I never even said, so I actually don’t trust him. But don’t let my personal experience with him influence your opinion, especially because AJ said he’s been a really trustworthy worksheet partner.

  7. There used to be a game show called I’ve Got a Secret, but because it was on TV before computers, it’s impossible to say whether or not it’s a good password.

  8. Even though you tell people that your famous meatloaf recipe is a secret, it is not a good password because it is from the Joy of Cooking.

  9. Chad swears that he remembers me saying Mrs. Johnson is a bad teacher, but my point is just that why would he even tell Mrs. Johnson I said that even if I did, which I didn’t.

  10. The 10th one is a secret. Feel free to use it!

  11. I’m gonna tell Chad’s parents about his grades next time I see them, which makes me a bad password, but I don’t care.
